Episode 15. excerpts

  • In this first part of the conversation we speak about
  • What traditional midwifery is.
  • The primal continuum of human life, from conception, through the first three years of life,
  • Overwhelm is totally normal, because we’re living in a completely fractured way of life.
  • The physiologic design of both our babies and ourselves as adults, is to be in a co regulatory environment, a community environment, a village environment for our health and wellness.
  • When I don’t align with my highest self with life with God, when I don’t keep myself aligned like that. I get sick
  • How do I do this in balance each day, you know, and, and some days, it’s like a success story. And some days, it’s a total shit show just kind of depends on the day.
  • Think outside this box of how community can look like

Episode 16

  • The homes, the buildings, the way that we’re relating, this is rooted in patriarchy
  • It’s really important to maintain a balance of accepting reality as it is and looking ahead to the vision of how we want things to be
  • Knowing that these structures were purposely designed to destroy people to destroy life to destroy families, how do we adapt within reality as it is in order to be able to thrive? And that thrive means health and wellness.
  • I’m not living my life fighting in resistance, but I’m living my life and dedication to grow beauty  and health and wellness and sustenance and and joy.

“It’s overwhelming, not because of something wrong that we’re doing or lack of what we’re doing. It’s overwhelming because we’re living in fractured realities, we lack communities and for most of us, in the modern world,we’re doing the ancestral healing work of so many generations behind us.”
